Art and The Craft

As a writer of poetry for me the Art comes first, then the Craft, of which writing specialism a writer decides to work with.e.g. the type of poetry they write. As a writer, writing other genres like fantasy, fiction, poetry as well as script content are all part of my Crafts.

Writers master the Craft of their writing specialism through their Creative Art. The Art coming before the Craft. Screenwriting the Craft must be mastered before the Art and in traditional screenplay and script writing, mastering the Craft for many writers comes before the Art itself.

A New Angle on Structure and Innovation

As a versed Creative Fine Art Artist, I determined very early on in my career that writers of poetry are already an actress or actor, as Poetry quite often is a performance, whether that be Poetry in itself using self expression of your feelings and emotions, or writing about something else using poetic language.

However as a World renowned Poetess which is the highest form of literature and Authoress, qualified in Poetry Performance, being able to be a successful actress is already encompassed into performing poetry, which is part of being an artist whether that be on paper or a verbal performance. Compiling my own scripts is part of my professional work.

A writer's writing comes from their creative flow and ideas which is paramount in script and screenplay writing.

Traditional script writing from my research and screen and script writing qualification is what is in existence.

As a writer I feel it is paramount for writers of poetry to have their work reviewed and used for theatre productions and screenplay.

Scripts and screenplays are 90 - 100 pages long roughly in draft. However I feel that using a writer's script length as judgement as to whether an industry accepts a script proposal, is not a fair and just way for creative writers who produce scripts, whether that be two lines, one page or a hundred pages, this should not denote their work being considered for scripts, theatre and screenplay.

The comparison of artistic quality of content and suitability of the scene content production, should be reviewed.

A script writer's work can be used to also formulate character/characters. Setting, theme etc……

I am creating a website page dedicated to displaying full scripts or sections of scripts that are not the run of the mill script page length in script writing.

Research never stops and development pursuit of any knowledge, understanding of the industry reading scripts, researching the film industry, theatre productions and plays, as a writer's research is part of being a successful script writer.

What works What Does Not

You become a self employed manufacturer. E.g. if you are going to write for film and television watch and research e.g. you would not apply for a job necessarily without having any knowledge of the industry. You move from passivity to activity once you decide to start writing scripts.

Sun Blaze

Yellow, orange, gold as the terrain whispers bold
Materials dancing in a gentle summer sway
Arms twirl,
as if they are searching,
through the mirage whirl
The desert sand,
brushes over a foot as it stands
Flick your foot and toe,
touch the sand as you feel sprinkles that glow
Spin around,
as the colours cover your surround
Now float,
as your head turns back around,
and this performance,
lifts you off the desert ground

Without Damaging The Structure

The audience, while listening to poetry,
reviewed the theatre programme, told an actor he was banned from performing.

Placement as a parenthetical phrase means that it can be removed without damaging the structure of the sentence.

Promoting Self-Expression Positively

Poetry Reader:
Expression is a tool that is cool

It's hard to say what I feel,
as feelings can be a steal

Finding ways that one
can express themselves,
provides open wealth
It does not need to be
with anyone else you see
If that does not,
make you happy

If I don't talk to someone,
how can I express my feeling theme

There are ways to express
Like writing painting word making,
cooking gardening,
baking too
are forms of tools,
that can aid expression,
right through

A movie is characterised by a string of decisions that will appeal to the target audience. A film is far more concerned with aesthetics, with how movement, light, and sound will emotionally engage and intellectually stimulate the audience.
